Matt joined the firm in 2003, coming from a successful
solo practice originally established in Edmonds in 1996.
He effectively balances the legal, practical and ethical
considerations present in every legal matter to ensure
his clients achieve their objectives on a timely and
cost effective basis. Matt’s transactional and
litigation experience allows him to bring a seasoned
perspective to every deal and dispute. Matt serves a
variety of clients; from individuals to privately held
business organizations of all types, and prides himself
on being able to translate complex legal issues into
everyday language.
Matt has been privileged to speak to a variety of professional
organizations and community groups such as Realtor associations
and at senior community centers. Matt has also served
for a number of years as a volunteer with the King County
Debt Clinic, providing much needed legal assistance
to those who cannot afford to consult with private counsel.
Matt was raised in Edmonds and graduated from Edmonds
High School in 1982. He continues to live in Edmonds
with his wife Cindy and two boys, Seth and Benjamin.
Matt is active in his church, serving as its Treasurer
for five years and acting in its annual Christmas presentation.
Matt also volunteers as a Special Olympics basketball
coach.
Among his personal interests, Matt enjoys spending time
with his family and outdoor activities such as camping,
cycling, and golf. Additionally, Matt has played softball
in a local community league since 1986, and enjoys curling
at the Granite Curling Club of Seattle.
